ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jacob Albee was born in 1976 in South Strafford, Vermont. He currently resides in Burlington with his wife and business partner, Kristin. They are expecting their first child in July, 2010.

ARTIST STATEMENT

"A successful piece of jewelry is one that you don't want to put down, one from which you simply cannot divert your eyes. A successful contemporary piece has knowledge of the past but eyes for the future. It does not restate what has already been said but is a contribution to the conversation. I strive to make such pieces and hope that you so not want to put them down."

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE

Albee creates his works using 14k, 18k and 24k gold, fine and sterling silver and Gibeon meteorite and fine gems. All are fabricated and may be forged, carved, etched or patinated.
