ARTIST STATEMENT

A jewel is a story, communication, emotion, symbol, movement, tension, sensuality, devil and beauty, intimacy, status, silver, iron, chocolate, soap, golden skin, hammering, filing, craft, construction, experiment, signs, confrontation, skepticism, loneliness, the sleeping beauty, spheres, lustre, adornment. It is essential for life.

1978 – 1982  Royal Academy of Fine Arts. (Antwerp, Belgium Department of jewellery design and silversmithing.

1982 – 1985  National Higher Academy of Fine Arts (Antwerp, Belgium Department of jewellery design and silversmithing.

1982 – 1983  Department of education. St.Lucas- Antwerp Belgium.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Since 1983 teaching appointment at KdG, Sint Lucas Antwerp, Belgium Department Art, body and object; Jewellery design I silver smithing.
