LAURA FOSTER NICHOLSON
"Paneled Discussions "
December 3
- January 2, 2005

Laura Foster Nicholson’s woven panels are explorations of familiar, domestic subjects as various as garden tools, loaves of bread and birthday cakes. Her reverent and often witty treatments of simple subjects become formal discussions of highly informal things.

Nicholson is internationally acclaimed for her woven tapestries. Her work is included in the collections of the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum in New York, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Denver Art Museum and the Archives of the Venice Biennale
