HAROLD O'CONNOR
"Wabi Sabi"
October 29 - November 28, 2004

Wabi-sabi is the Japanese aesthetic philosophy describing principles of Zen Buddhism made tangible through objects, ritual and art. It describes the beauty inherent in imperfection and impermanence. Wabi-sabi imbues the works of Harold O’Connor, whose reputation for conceptual, organic jewelry masterpieces in gold and oxidized silver is renowned among collectors from around the world. Combining precious metals with bone, river rock, wood and raw natural gem materials like spectrolite, sugilite and lapis has become his signature.
