Carsten Kissner

For me, special pieces of jewelry go hand in hand with the extraordinary, the precious and naturally, gemstones… As a goldsmith and designer, I am tasked with developing and producing a piece of jewelry which harmonizes in both function and design.

German artist, Carsten Kissner, began his career as a goldsmith at the Vocational School for Goldsmithing in Pforzheim, Germany. Kissner earned his first apprenticeship with Atelier Zobel (now owned by Patina artist, Peter Schmid).

Since then, the artist has gone on to establish his own studio, where he governs a team of talented jewelers. For Kissner, jewelry should unite practicality and function to create an organic fit for the wearer. Simultaneously, the artist also seeks to create jewelry that is innovative and timeless. Always working with clear intention, Kissner allows the natural surface of his materials to participate in his artistic narrative. Splendidly, his work emulates powerful charm propelled by sheer choice of material and technique.
