Mintabie Opal & Diamond Ring

18K white gold, mintabie opal 17.02 ctw, pave diamond 0.45 ctw, 

The Mintabie mine in Australia, now closed, was know for opals with brilliant striations of color. Ann Ziff picked this opal for the play of color and its clear striations which she reflects in the rings diamond shaped design. The single band of pave diamonds just below the bezel heightens the linear elements of this dazzling ring.
