18K yellow gold, emerald, Tibetan turquoise, Tahitian pearl, Australian opal - circa 1996
This masterwork from Jeff Wise was created in 1996 and is a marvel considering the soldering complexity in a pre-laser era of jewelry making. Australian opal and Tibetan turquoise set in textured gold comprise the central element which moves freely inside a golden wire cage. A natural color baroque Tahitian pearl, as well as a richly colored emerald are also set in gold and dangle from an element which is part of the threaded signature clasp itself. This museum worthy piece is truly a treasure to behold.
