Oxidized sterling silver, 22K yellow gold, Roman coin depicting Emperor Constantine, diamonds rose cut 2.13 ctw, seed pearls
A gem worthy of the great Roman Emperor Contantine, Peter Schmid of Atelier Zobel creates a work of enticing and exotic persuasion. Within the core of the piece is a Roman coin seared with the profile of the emperor. The dark coin is encased with the lustrous sheen of high karat gold. The golden frame expands, emboldening the center of the work. Beyond lives a sea of seed pearls. The long, delicate strands are ever so delicately positioned to fill the remaining area of the piece. Betwixt it's intricate throw are brown and beige color diamonds, piercing the pearl laden landscape with their sparkling lure. A fine example of scale and proportion, one of the diamonds is cleverly situated just outside the circumference of the head of the ring. The slight skew in design leaves the eye lingering on its lovely form. Upon the finger the ring is a comfort to behold. On the hand, a statement to utterly adore. Once again, Schmid stuns us with his artistic ingenuity.
