Location: Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM
This image was taken at about 7 o’clock on a Sunday morning last spring on Guadalupe Street. My favorite part of the picture is at the lower left-hand corner. The early morning sky with its stars still twinkling kept asking me to walk through that corner of the door. If only I knew the mysteries hidden behind that door. Somehow, when a sky changes tone, color, or intensity, my emotions change—from outdoors to indoors and in between. On some days, it feels like perhaps I’m on the threshold of being in two places simultaneously, neither indoors nor outdoors.
