Forged in Ice
Patina Gallery proudly introduces Forged in Ice, an intoxicating jewelry collection from the Barbara Heinrich Studio.
For the gallery in its 20th year, internationally renowned artist, Barbara Heinrich creates an exclusive, 20-piece jewelry collection inspired by the Viedma Glacier in Patagonia, Argentina.
On a personal visit to the grand glacial sight, master jeweler, Barbara Heinrich imagines a sumptuous assemblage of adornment to enrapture the soul.
In the studio, exquisite artistry and heightened design are transformed to an enlivened landscape through the eyes of the maker. Barbara and her atelier of goldsmiths capture the glacier’s glistening peaks, its sun kissed terrain and canyon-like crevasses. With surface, texture and shape, the artist apprehends her muse’s powerful, organic device.
On the body, undulating surfaces of platinum and gold pique the senses within their endless effervescence. Effulgent tourmalated quartz and drops of aquamarine in golden frames evoke tender recollections of Viedma’s icy splendor. Burgeoning diamonds emerge through lustrous crests, which speak to the glorious rock formations of its breathtaking domain.
To satisfy one’s graceful decent into wintertide, Barbara entices the mind with unending opulence, forged to the magnificence of nature.
