“I have always been fascinated by the possibilities of visualizing the unseen”
Genevieve Howard

Genevieve Howard is a Dublin-based Irish artist whose work drifts seamlessly between contemporary jewelry, visual art, and music.
Her practice is guided by a quiet attentiveness to sound, how it moves through space, how it settles, and how it might be held. Through an intimate dialogue between listening and making, Howard expands adornment into an experience that is felt as much as it is seen.

Music forms the foundation of her creative language.
Drawing from the rhythms of nature and the deep currents of her Irish heritage, Howard gives physical presence to the unseen—transforming sonic vibrations into sculptural, wearable forms. Each piece becomes a vessel for sound, shaped by resonance and pause, echo and silence.
Balancing traditional handcraft with advanced digital technologies, Howard works across a wide spectrum of materials, from fragile paper to reactive and precious metals. Her forms are both deliberate and instinctive, existing at the threshold between structure and sensation. Often, her exhibitions are accompanied by live performances on the Irish harp, allowing sound and object to unfold together in time, deepening the multisensory nature of the work.

Howard’s path has been shaped by rigorous study and quiet experimentation. She holds an honors degree in Metals & Jewelry from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and continued her training in jewelry design, gold and silversmithing at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. In 2021, she completed her MA in Fashion & Technology with distinction at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Linz, Austria—further refining her exploration of the relationship between body, technology, and material.

Her work now resides in notable public collections around the world, including Constellations at the Dallas Museum of Art, the Marzee Collection in the Netherlands, the CODA Museum in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, and the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne.
Across each setting, her pieces remain faithful to their origin: objects born of listening—quiet, resonant, and enduring.
