Gitta Pielcke

For many years, I have been studying the plant and animal worlds to illustrate that life, which is inherent in nature, may be infused into my jewelry creations… Here, I produce – within a tiny space – a captivating, floral world whose three-dimensional character delights not just the eye but also the hand that wears it.

The vast world of diverse, organic forms continues to inspire the work of German artist, Gitta Pielcke. Transfixed by its beauty, Pielcke emulates its curiosities through the interaction, abilities and constraints of precious metals, such as sterling silver and high karat gold.

The artist aspires to create figurative, poetic conceptions, and considers her work as sculptures to adorn. In her rings, Pielcke is careful to ensure the individual pieces are not identical, and upon further observation leave more to be discovered. She is the wife of long-time Patina artist, Erich Zimmermann. Together, they share a studio where she creates one of a kind visions, avoiding stylistic mixes with her husband and independently cultivates a stirring collection of works from her mind’s imagination.
