Sterling silver, 24K, 22K & 18K yellow gold, palladium, moonstone 8.0cts, Ceylon sapphires 3.45cts, white diamonds, 0.30 total carat weight.
Peter Schmid’s Flowers by Dorothea pendant are a poetic fusion of material and imagination—a dream etched in precious metal. Forged from luminous palladium, the pendant blooms in a circular silhouette that rests gently on the body, its surface traced with expressive, oxidized sterling silver lines that suggest wind-swept petals or the faded contours of a secret garden. At the heart of the piece, a moonstone shimmers within a golden bezel, casting a soft, opalescent glow like a full moon emerging through mist. On either side, blue sapphires glint like twilight stars, while fused white diamonds flicker along the form, adding quiet brilliance. Sculptural yet ethereal, this pendant offer a seamless blend of elegance and whimsy—delicately balanced, effortlessly worn, and infinitely evocative.
This piece is inspired by Max Ernst's love for his wife, Dorothea Tanning.
