Betwixt two rounds of oxidized sterling silver lives a sphere of agate. At first observation, artist, Pia Groh, skillfully pierces the silver forms with a pin of high karat gold. From here, the maker pieces together the luminous, milky white agate to seamlessly live within its two silver planes. Stirring artful curiosity, Groh has captured our attention with masterful skill of design and ingenuity. With an acute attention to the circular nature of the material, Groh loses herself in the repetitive motions of the strong agate and refined, darkened tones of oxidized sterling silver.
