NeXT Computer Design Director Eddie Lee said that Steve had a way of “smiling shit at you” when he was getting mad. When Steve was upset, his head would go down and he’d make this sort of uncomfortable half-smile, and you knew you were about to get crushed. Here, Steve displays the beginning of this warning half-smile during a conversation with one of the original Macintosh engineers. Eddie also said if Steve approached with his head up and smiling, you were golden, and all was right with the world.
