The Map depicts a map of Khan's childhood home, its environs, and the imaginary kingdom there.
"The Map is part of The Armor and Facade Series and the Exodus Series, and represents how we protect and present ourselves. The Exodus series is about migration and movement. Every figure is as if in motion. I’ve made them faceless so one can only focus on their actions, which, interestingly, still express personalities. At the time I began creating this, I myself was facing relocation. Also I’d become handicapped, meaning physical movement for me had become limited. So I enjoyed creating such unhindered figures."
